Despacito the song of Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi along with Daddy Yankee was released in 2017. It went on to become the most one streamed music at that period within the space of six months. The song was a mix of reggaeton and pop music that not only drew attention to Latin music but as well reggaeton. Billboard's Top 100 featured two songs which were Spanish mostly, and four in 2016. However, during the heights of Despacito's fame in 2017 there were 19 mostly Spanish tracks which made it into the Top 100. In 2020, it was 41. Justin Bieber remixed Despacito 2017 as a bilingual rendition. In the following months, several artists collaborated with reggaeton superstars including Drake and Bad Bunny with MIA (2018), Madonna and Maluma and Medellin 2019. The mainstreaming of reggaeton was an issue for certain performers during the year the year 2020. Rauw alejandro and a younger generation were keen to keep the look. Rauw Alejandro incorporated elements of other genres and electronic music.
